How To Help Out Near You...

There is a lot of different ways to help out with special need people in your community. 

There are places you can go to find out more information. Go to your local YMCA or community center and they should have information to find places where you can help. Also try going to a local school where they have special needs students and see if you can help out there. There are more ways you can help out and websites you can find to see where you can help and other ways you can help

What is Special Education?

Special education is a place that provides extra services, support, and programs to student who need them, and are ensured the education they need. Special education classes should not cost parents anything. Students in the special education program have special needs in the classroom. There is a wide range of that is considered special ed on the spectrum. 

Special Education is the perfect profession for me

Growing up I always knew I wanted to teach. I was always unsure what I wanted to teach. I thought math would be a good subject. I enjoyed math a lot, except for one thing, I wasnt that good at math. But I still knew I wanted to teach. 

As a junior my mom brought up the idea of teaching special ed. I thought about it. I did an internship with special ed students at a local high school and decided that I really would enjoy teaching these students. So that is how I decided that special education was the perfect profession for me.
